Plate Pics

Are you curious about what a dietitian eats?  Below are some pictures of dishes I’ve prepared for myself and family.  Our plates aren’t always perfectly “balanced”, but neither is life.  Although I aim to sneak 3 servings of fruit, 3 servings of veggies, 100% whole grains and healthy lean protein into everyone’s belly daily, some days start with cereal and end with pizza – but that’s okay because pizza is delicious and nutritious on occasion!  Nutritional wellness isn’t about perfection; it’s about understanding what our bodies need to thrive and providing the necessary fuel and nutrients to live our best.  When we eat healthy most of the time, there is plenty of room to enjoy sweet and savory treats in moderation. 🙂
